Or “Hergestellt in Deutschland” if you prefer.
I first discovered Bindewerk when I found some of their journals and patterned envelopes in Domestic Science in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. This independent bookbindery in southern Germany produces true artisan products, and it is important to the owners that they are the ones who produce the things they sell, and to remain independent from exports out of the far east. We had a lot of very positive feedback about their journals from our subscribers.
Mobius & Ruppert is a family owned firm now in its fourth generation. Their heavy, brass coloured, bullet shaped pencil sharpener is also very popular with our customers, as were the brass coloured binder clips from Rico Design.
The pencils in this box, the Schwan 306 HB and Othello 282 2B, are from Stabilo, which was established in Nuremberg in 1855.
We were introduced to Schneider products at the London Stationery Show in April. The Slider Memo XB, the blue pen in the photograph above, produces a very smooth writing action and the Line-up has a triangular barrel, making it very comfortable to hold.
The collection was finished off with a Staedtler eraser and two of their double-ended fibre-tip pens.
Again, this collection was very popular and we sold out completely. However, we were later able to re-stock a modified version which is available in our website shop.
